Spring recovery with Antonia Beauty...

The change of season often has a direct impact on the skin. After the winter months, it can be more dehydrated, more sensitive, less comfortable and more easily irritated. Spring is a good time to review our routine and adapt it to the new conditions – warmer weather, stronger sun and a need for more freshness and hydration.

1. A lighter season, but no less care

One of the most common mistakes in spring is to abruptly change your entire routine. The truth is, your skin shouldn't be left without protection and repair just because the weather outside is milder and warmer. What's needed is a balance: a lighter texture, but enough hydration and maintenance of the skin barrier.

After winter, skin often needs more than just a “refreshment” but real recovery. If you’re feeling tight, dry patches, uneven skin tone, or sensitivity, it’s a sign that your routine needs to shift to hydration, soothing, and protection.

2. Proper cleaning is the foundation of everything

In spring, a good cleansing remains a must-do step, especially if you use makeup, SPF, or your skin is exposed to urban environments, dust, and pollution.

The best approach is a 2-step cleanse:

First step: micellar water. It helps remove makeup, sunscreen, and accumulated dirt from the surface of the skin.

Step 2: Antonia Beauty Cleansing Foam After using micellar water, it is important to wash your face with a gentle yet effective product that deeply cleanses without drying. The cleansing foam completes the cleansing process and prepares the skin for the next steps of the routine.

This double cleansing is especially useful in the evening , when the skin needs to be completely freed from everything accumulated during the day.

3. Spring is the season of hydration

Higher temperatures often create the feeling that the skin does not need as much nourishment as in winter. But this does not mean that it does not need hydration. On the contrary – it is in spring that the skin needs to restore its water balance and come out of the “winter mode”.

Intensive hydration helps to:

  • better skin comfort

  • softer and smoother appearance

  • fresh and even complexion

  • better protection of the skin barrier

It's good to include products in your routine that not only moisturize superficially, but also help the skin retain moisture and feel stable throughout the day.

4. Don't skip the sun protection

As spring approaches, the sun becomes stronger and this is the time when SPF should become a daily habit, not a “summer-only” product.

Sun protection is important not only for the beach or on very sunny days. It is also key in everyday life – when walking, driving, being outside or even in an urban environment. UV rays can contribute to dehydration, sensitivity, pigmentation and faster skin aging.

That's why in spring, SPF is a mandatory last step in your morning routine.

5. The moment is also suitable for restoring the skin barrier

Spring is a good time to not only “refresh” your skincare routine, but also to think about the condition of your skin barrier. If your skin reacts easily, feels dry, sensitive, or irritated, it probably needs more support.

This is where products that combine hydration with soothing and repairing come in. Instead of aggressive actives and overloading yourself with too many steps, a better approach is a routine that works gently but effectively.

6. Less experimentation, more consistency

The change of season is not a time to chaotically introduce many new products at once. A better choice is to focus on a few basic and well-chosen steps:

  • good cleaning

  • intensive hydration

  • skin barrier protection

  • daily SPF

Skin responds best when it receives consistent and adequate care, not when the routine changes abruptly according to the season.

A good spring routine looks like this:

Morning: Facial cleansing foam, cream-toner, ampoule, moisturizer, sunscreen

Evening: Facial cleansing foam, cream-toner, ampoule, moisturizing product (intensive cream), sun protection

Spring recovery doesn't mean a complicated routine. It means taking the right steps to help your skin recover from winter and prepare for the warmer, sunnier months. Good cleansing, more hydration, barrier care, and daily sun protection are the foundations on which skin looks and feels better.
