Hydration vs. oiliness – how do we know what our skin needs?

Each of us has been there: in front of the mirror, with a new cream in hand and with that question in our head – "Is this what I really need?"
Hydrated skin does not mean oily skin. And oily skin does not mean nourished. The truth is, we often confuse one with the other. And that's completely understandable, because sometimes our skin looks shiny, but at the same time feels dry and tight.
The truth is that skin has different needs, and it's important to differentiate between hydration and oiliness. Dehydrated skin doesn't necessarily mean dry—it's just thirsty for water. And dry skin suffers from a lack of lipids, the fat that keeps it soft and protected.
The combination of stress, air conditioning, lack of sleep, and improper care often leads to confusion. Sometimes even oily skin is dehydrated and therefore produces even more sebum in an attempt to protect itself. That's why it's important to listen to the sensation – not just how it looks, but how our skin feels. If it feels tight and uncomfortable, it probably needs hydration. If it's flaky and reacts to the touch, it may be lacking nourishment.
Antonia Beauty products are created with this in mind – to provide balanced, effective care, regardless of skin type. They are formulated to not overwhelm, but not to abandon. To lend a hand without dominating. When you use the right formulas in the right sequence, the skin begins to recover and find its natural balance.
Because good care does not start with perfect skin, but with the right understanding.
